I have searched and searched but no luck. What are you running on your pistol?

What is your price range for affordable? i'm running a surefire x300 which is roughly $200 and a buddy of mine just picked up a streamlight tlr1 for $100.

I have Streamlight TLR1s on both my pistol and rifle. Ive always been very pleased with this particular Streamlight product, even though I find most of their other products lacking. That said, the Surefire x series lights are the gold standard in compact weapon lights.

Good question. $100 seems a good pricepoint.

Then your only serious option is a TLR1.

    I have a SF X300 that I carry mounted sometimes and a Streamlight TLR3 http://www.streamlight.com/product/product.aspx?pid=165
which I purchased retail for about $65 and only serves on a backup "bedside" gun. I have not applied anything approaching hard use with either beyond drilling with them. No submersion no pounding/banging etc. Both have worked well for me.

I've had good luck with both the X300 and Insight WX150.

I have a strong preference for the X300.
It is bright if you are working with dark-adjusted eyes, but that can be overcome by bouncing the light off the ceiling or floor, or off a wall not in your line of sight.
