...as determined by what measurable outcome(s), exactly?
I dont know about these but I have 2 IQ Air Health Pro units and they absolutely do work at reducing harmful particles that cause allergies and lung irritation. However, they are very large units with powerful fans and multi stage hepa filters to ensure enough air volume is exchanged and adequately filtered.
From past research I do know there is a lot of snake oil in this industry but I am not up to speed on the latest tech. In general, I would start skeptical until proven otherwise by valid independent testing not covertly sponsored by commercial interests. There are particle measuring devices that can be used to determine effectiveness but I imagine it is like decibel metering with suppressors (valid/invalid methods and devices).
Knowing PF, there is probably an air quality SME around here somewhere.

That Molekule looks nice and low profile. We have an Oransi Finn in my daughters room. It seems to work very well, catches a ton of junk.
We had an Oransi Max HEPA air purifier for a while and it was very quiet and did a good job. We ended up giving it to my wife's grandmother who has sarcoidosis. She says she has noticed a big improvement in her ability to breath since she got it. We are thinking of getting another one.

We have one. It was recommended to us by my youngest daughters allergy and asthma specialist. Like me, she's been suffering from migraines since she was about 3 years old, with allergies and asthma being the trigger. We haven't had it long enough to really know if her, or I, will see an reduction in the frequency of migraines. I will say this, in the short time we've had it, all her migraines have originated when she's been at school or someone else's house...so I'm beginning to think my LE6920 money may have been well spent on it.
We've been keeping a log of her migraines for over a year now and once we've had this thing 6 months we'll compare the before and after and see if it's made a difference or not.
A $130 a year subscription for filters, "PECO-Filter is coated by our proprietary catalyst that breaks down pollutants at a molecular level when activated by UV light", remote controlled with the phone.
Sounds like the air purifier equivalent of the Juicero. It may be more elegant looking than a $200 Winix but it not going to do a better job of purifying the air.
More info than you ever wanted to know about air purifiers.

Play that song about the Irish chiropodist. Irish chiropodist? "My Fate Is In Your Hands."
They live in a zone that is affected by the California fire smoke. They have had a lot of experience with HEPA filters because of pollen allergies. They've used a variety of HEPA filters over the years, sometimes had multiple units running at once in their house. They say that the Molekule filter is extremely effective, noticeably more effective than the previous setup.
Well then I'd get any of them really.
Reddit doesn't seem too impressed with the Molekule.

I'd probably get a regular HEPA based unit if I was in the market for something like this. Not really convinced by the "science" they describe on their website. Says that their PECO filter selects for <0.1nM objects, vs "traditional HEPA filters" at 300nM.
For reference, your average S. aureus bacterium is about 1uM in diameter (1,000 nM). Juice and squeeze and all that
