I'm not sure the form could have had a better ambassador. I've been piecing my way through the '60's era Marvel library, and he was such a gifted writer. There's a depth there that works on a lot of levels: you could be a kid appreciating super heroes zapping bad guys, or an adult appreciating the sting of ostracism and the weight of responsibility.
He'll be remembered as one of the great American storytellers.
