I took Ernieís Tactical Pistol Skills class for the second time this weekend, and finally managed to accomplish something Iíd been working on since I took my first official whack at the FAST in March of 2011 with Todd. For me at least, itís more than just a coin, more than just an accomplishment on a difficult shooting test. Iíd like to think that Toddís in the afterlife and heís as happy about this as I am.

For the gear nerds, I used a Beretta 92FS from my issued Safariland SLS duty holster. Ammo was the Federal Syntech 115 grain stuff. Times were 4.74 on the first run and 4.95 on the second run.

Thanks! Ernie was pretty excited, itís always an awesome feeling when an instructor is pleased with his or her studentís performances.

Doníte tell anyone, but the Beretta 92 series is easier to shoot well than a Glock.
