    In Texas, Waller County SO LODD During Storm Front

    Waller County, Texas, SO lost a deputy during the bad storm front now moving into the eastern USA. Not many details yet available.

    I read she was responding to a water rescue. She flipped into a water filled ditch and drowned in the car. It was her third day off FTO. RIP
    Just a dog chauffeur that used to hold the dumb end of the leash.

    That's what I'd heard. I'm intimately familiar with that very rural road, and parts of it flood quick in heavy rains like we had yesterday.

    I am very sorry to read about this. Swiftwater rescue is really, really hazardous. Just the approach phase is very dangerous.

    My thoughts are with her family, friends and fellow Deputies.
