    Recoil spring and slide weight

Do any of you have a link to a tutorial on the effects of slide weight and of recoil spring weight on the gun settling back down w/ sights on target? I keep seeing mentions of this phenomenon but haven't found any in depth info.

Thanks guys. I think I have somewhat of an understanding so will order up some springs and start experimenting.

Are you having a reliability issue?

If not, work on your Bill Drill skills so you have a good baseline, THEN start messing with recoil springs. If you want to simplify things then eliminate the draw, for example, or run the the Ben Stoeger Doubles Drill.

Yes you can tune things to be a little better or worse, but chances are you’d be better off working on the technical sklills first so you can better evaluate the results of the hardware changes.

It’s easy to go to hardware first - but this is rarely the most productive path.
Are you now, or have you ever been a member of the Doodie Project?
