Man shot and killed after accusing gunman’s brother of “fondling” his family member, SCSO says
MEMPHIS, Tenn. — An argument over sexual misconduct left one man dead Saturday night in southwest Shelby County, according to the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office.
SCSO said that Maurice Walker was found shot to death at 5075 Blacksmith Drive around 5:50 p.m. Saturday night.
Throughout the course of their investigation, Shelby County Sheriff’s Deputies laid out an account of what they believed happened, leading to Walker’s death.
The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office said that Walker was driving home when he pulled over and confronted 26-year-old Denorius Butler.
Walker and Butler began arguing over a previous incident, in which Butler’s brother was accused of fondling a family member of Walker’s, the sheriff’s office said, leading Butler and other gunmen to open fire.
Butler and the gunmen fired dozens of rounds, hitting and killing Walker as well as striking several nearby cars and homes, according to the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office.
Walker’s brother dragged him behind a car and returned fire, the sheriff’s office said, as Butler handed off his gun and ran inside.
Butler and Walker’s brother were taken in for questioning and Butler was charged with attempted second-degree murder.
Upon a search of Butler’s house, deputies also reported finding a total of 133.2 grams of marijuana.

Off-Duty NYPD Cop Finds Girlfriend and Other Woman Together, Kills Woman in Double Shooting: Police
An off-duty NYPD officer shot her girlfriend and another woman, killing the latter, after she discovered the pair together at a Brooklyn home on Wednesday, police said.
The incident occurred around 5 p.m., at a home on 19th Avenue near 79th Street in Bensonhurst, according to police. The officer, who has not been identified, was at the home she shared with her 23-year-old girlfriend, when the other two arrived, Assistant Chief Michael Kemper said.
After that, multiple 911 calls were made regarding shots fired, police said, and the officers who responded found the 31-year-old officer outside the home. She told them that she had shot someone inside, Kemper said at a press conference.
Once inside, responding officers found one woman on the floor of the living room, and another on the floor in the bedroom, Kemper said. The girlfriend was found shot in the torso, while the other 24-year-old woman was found shot in the chest, possibly more than once.
The two women were rushed to Maimonides Hospital, where the 24-year-old was pronounced dead. The officer's girlfriend is expected to recover, according to Kemper.
The cop was taken to the hospital, and was in police custody. She has served in the department as a member of Brooklyn South for more than five years, police said, and did not appear to have any disciplinary issues. Police said she was "calm, collected and very forthcoming" regarding what had transpired, and confessed to the shooting.
The officer had last worked Tuesday night, and was scheduled to return to duty Wednesday night before she was taken into custody. Police said it is believed that all three women involved knew each other, and it was unclear if the gun that was fired was the officer's service weapon.
Investigators are looking into whether the two women who were shot had been in a relationship, as police said it was "a possibility." The motive was preliminarily being treated as a domestic situation.
Oh, wait, she was the robber.

A young Georgia woman was shot dead with her own gun after, police say, she and another woman attempted to rob two men they were in a car with.
Officers were called to the 100 block of Fred Drive in Warner Robins after receiving a report about a person being shot at around 12.30 a.m. on Sunday, the Warner Robins Police Department said in a news release that was posted on Facebook.
Police said investigators learned that Kyndal Reynolds, 21, and Tywana Antonette Cody, 42, both of Warner Robins, had met two men earlier in the night. Later, while they were all inside a vehicle together, police said Reynolds had tried to rob the men.
One of the men attempted to disarm Reynolds and she was shot with her own weapon during the struggle, according to police.
She was transported to the Houston Medical Center in Warner Robins, but she later succumbed to her injuries.
Police said investigators determined Cody had been working with Reynolds to rob the men. Cody was arrested and is facing charges including felony murder and party to a crime of aggravated assault. She was being held at the Houston County detention facility.
The men stayed on the scene early Sunday and cooperated with investigators, police said. They have not been charged.
Meanwhile, a GoFundMe page set up to raise funds to cover the costs of Reynolds' funeral described her as a "wonderful" mother.
"It is with a heavy heart that I am reaching out to all of you today," Akima Rodriguez wrote on the page.
"Many of you may have recently heard that our beloved Kyndal recently passed. Kyndal was a wonderful Mother, daughter, sister, niece, granddaughter, and friend who touched the lives of those around her. Amongst her family, she leaves behind her handsome son Keagyn (Kea), her brother Kingston and Mother Heather Reynolds.
"We are all devastated by the loss of Kyndal, and we want to assist Heather and her family in any way we can and give Kyndal the memorial she deserves to honor her memory and say our last goodbyes."

There's nothing civil about this war.
This one was interesting to me on a number of fronts. Defender wearing body armor. citizen use of flashlight in shooting, tactics and multiple attackers are more common but interesting how they were positioned in relation to each other and the people in the vehicle.
