The shop keeper was super cool. Not their first rodeo for sure. Their commands were direct and succinct. Most impressed.

    Nice!
He fired shots at the door. I guess that is another charge on top of armed robbery.

Chicago Man Who Fired Gun Into Murder Victim’s Grave During Burial Service Sentenced

CHICAGO — A Chicago man who fired a gun into the grave of a murder victim during his burial service has been sentenced to 15 years in federal prison. During the Nov. 22, 2017, service at Evergreen Cemetery in Evergreen Park, ELSTON STEVENSON drew a handgun and said words to the effect of, “You ain’t [expletive]. You got what you deserved.” Stevenson fired a single shot into the grave of the deceased man, who had been murdered two days earlier. Stevenson then waved the gun in the direction of the mourners as he fled the service. He was arrested a short time later near the entrance of the cemetery. Stevenson, 57, pleaded guilty to one count of illegal possession of a firearm by a previously convicted felon. U.S. District Judge John J. Tharp, Jr., imposed the 15-year sentence July 1, 2020, in federal court in Chicago.

Arkansas officer charged in fatal shooting of fellow officerOfficer Scott Hutton was shot through the front door of his colleague's residence after knocking on it

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — An Arkansas police officer who allegedly told a colleague that he'd shoot through the door if any protesters came to his home has been charged with manslaughter in the fatal shooting of a fellow officer who knocked on his door, authorities said Thursday.

Calvin Salyers, a 33-year-old officer in the Little Rock suburb of Alexander, surrendered on Wednesday in the June 3 fatal shooting of Officer Scott Hutton, the state police said.

Hutton, 36, went to Salyers' home to pick up a patrol unit and was shot through the door after knocking on it, a state police investigator said in an arrest affidavit. Salyers told investigators he grabbed his handgun before he went to the door and saw a figure on his porch wearing a dark shirt and with a gun on his hip.

Salyers told investigators his gun went off when he transferred it from his right to his left hand and reached for the doorknob. On a 911 call, Salyers can be heard saying, “All I seen was a gun, it was an accidental discharge," the affidavit said.
training sergeant with Alexander Police said Salyers told him at the beginning of protests over the death of George Floyd that he would “shoot through the door" if any protesters showed up at his home, according to the affidavit. The sergeant said he told Salyers that he couldn't do that because it would be reckless and negligent.

Salyers has been an officer with the Alexander Police Department since 2017

Police video of fatal shooting shows victim fired on cops

Detroit — Shaky Detroit police body camera video shows eight shots were fired in five frenzied seconds Friday during a fatal incident on the city's northwest side that sparked protests in which bottles, bricks and other projectiles were thrown at officers.

Detroit police released the body camera video, along with another video from a squad car's dashboard camera which showed officers fatally shooting 20-year-old Hakim Littleton after he pulled a pistol from his left pocket and opened fire.

Detroit police chief James Craig said he released the video hours after the incident to quell "a false narrative" that the shooting was unjustified. The "erroneous information that was put out has incited violence," Craig said during a press conference at Public Safety Headquarters.

I'd blame it on poor writing and journalistic skill...but I think it goes somewhat deeper than that.
