^^^ We should start a pool on the number of days he survives in jail.
I don't think he'll make it through trial to prison before his "suicide".

Would be interesting to know the details of the interpersonal offense that led to this. Other than that, it's rats eating rats. I grew up in a place and time where the NY mob "ran things". Goodfellas, to me, is non-fiction.

Now go get your shine box Tommy.

I've got family who are part of that story and with connections to the individuals portrayed.
There's nothing civil about this war.

Investigators: Augusta man killed while testing ‘21-foot rule’

Spencer Warren told investigators he and Splichal has been debating the “21-foot rule” and were going to see how close Splichal could get to Warren before Warren could fire his gun. Warren says he emptied his .387 revolver but did not fully clear it. When Splichal lunged toward him to test the theory, Warren squeezed the trigger twice, firing 1 round into Splichal’s chest.
Warren was arrested and charged with involuntary manslaughter and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.

I can easily see missing one in a single-action revolver, but not emptying a double-action revolver is harder......

^ Maybe someone told them that a 'weapons carry license' wasn't enough, that they really needed to get some 'force-on-force'.

Airman shot fatally after tackling armed robber in North Little Rock Valero

Westbrook, Maine, native Shawn Mckeough tackled an armed robber, likely protecting several innocent people in the process, only to be shot in the face by another assailant, court documents revealed. Mckeough was killed inside a Valero Big Red gas station and convenience store in North Little Rock, Arkansas, on Friday night. He was 23. Mckeough, who was a senior airman at Little Rock Air Force Base, had died by the time officers arrived. Mckeough’s girlfriend, Sarah Terrano, also a Westbrook native, was waiting in a car outside the convenience store. She saw the robbers enter the store and later heard the gunshot. She and others were not surprised that Mckeough would engage with the robbery suspects to protect others who were in the store. “He always put others above himself,” Terrano said. Mckeough, a 2014 Westbrook High School graduate, enlisted in the Air Force and had deployed to Germany, Kuwait and South Korea. He had been in Arkansas since December and was serving as an aerial delivery operations specialist for the 19th Airlift Wing. Mckeough’s body is expected to be transported to Maine by military escort this week. A funeral service is likely to be held next week, but the family said arrangements have not been finalized.

SAPD: Police sergeant shoots, kills woman after pointing Uzi at him
Officer-involved shooting happened at Huebner Commons shopping center

The sergeant was already at the shopping center when police began receiving calls about the woman, McManus said.

McManus said when the sergeant approached the woman and gave her commands, the woman turned around and pulled out the Uzi.

The unidentified woman was then shot multiple times to her upper and lower torso. She was pronounced dead at the scene, McManus said.

McManus said the sergeant, a 23-year veteran of the Police Department, will be placed on administrative duty pending an investigation, per department protocol.
