Female Intruder Dead, Three Accomplices Injured in Arizona Home Defense Shooting
At about 1:25 a.m., the occupants of a home were awoken by sounds coming from outside the house. According to a neighbor, the homeowner attempted to warn potential intruders that someone was home by flickering the lights.
Within moments, however, two men and two women broke in by smashing the back door and window. The homeowner then fired several rounds, hitting all four of the home invaders.

Jason Dalton’s surprise move came about three years after the shootings, which occurred over the course of a few hours in and around Kalamazoo. Four women were killed in the parking lot of a Cracker Barrel restaurant: Barbara Hawthorne, Dorothy “Judy” Brown, Mary Lou Nye and her sister-in-law, Mary Jo Nye. Rich Smith and his 17-year-old son, Tyler Smith, were fatally shot while looking at a pickup truck in a dealer’s lot. Abigail Kopf, who was 14 at the time, was shot in the head during the restaurant shooting and survived. Tiana Carruthers was injured in a residential area. Dalton pleaded guilty to murder and attempted murder over his attorney’s objections, triggering a mandatory sentence of life in prison with no chance for parole on Feb. 5. Dalton had been deemed competent to stand trial and last week dropped an insanity defense. In court, he didn’t explain why he randomly shot eight people. Dalton, the father of two children, had worked as an insurance adjuster and had no previous criminal record before the February 2016 shootings. Prosecutor Jeff Getting said the motive behind the shootings is a question that “haunts us.”

Three burglars and a getaway driver. One burglar had a knife and another had brass knuckles (the story does not indicate whether these were deployed). Homeowner's son shot the three burglars, who all died at the scene. The getaway driver fled and later surrendered herself to law enforcement (her mug shot indicates she's 4'9"). The homeowner's son has not been arrested or charged.
One of the burglar's grandfathers is upset that the burglars were completely undergunned.

Wasn't a "fair fight"?
I'm guessing we're supposed to believe that the three imbeciles would have been concerned with the Marquess of Queensberry rules had they come upon the homeowner or son without their having the benefit of a firearm or other defensive weapon.

"Och, bringing brass knuckles to a gun fight."

Security guard stops AK-armed active shooter at nightclub. (on NYE)
and the perp.....The Huntsville Police Department last week booked Samuel Demario Williams, 33, on a variety of felony charges after he was released from an area hospital. Williams, who had been told to leave the 3208 Club on Long Street, instead retrieved an AK-style rifle from the trunk of his car and started shooting. That’s when the security guard, the only armed officer at the scene, told local media she stepped in.

“I’m not here to kill anyone,” she said. ” I saw one of the entry wounds was on his thigh which can sometimes be a somewhat dangerous place to bleed out. I keep a trauma kit and tourniquet on me as everyone who carries should.”
