The victim was known to carry a gun and was sworn in SC as a Constable. After an apparent robbery and ensuing gunfight - where the BG suffered some hit(s) - the BG hailed responding officers and also claimed to be the "victim" of a shooting.

Family of Canterbury man shot, killed by Haverhill police sues officers

The family of 42-year-old Hagen Esty-Lennon has filed suit against the two Haverhill police officers who fatally shot him in 2015. Attorneys representing the family claim the officers acted recklessly and that Esty-Lennon did not pose an imminent threat. The state attorney general previously ruled the shooting justified.

Following LOD shooting, officer denied permission to keep a gun a home

Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) Const. Joe Smyth was so worried by negative comments (on social media), he wanted to move his family to his in-law's and keep a gun at his home — a request which was denied. "I read the social media and I didn't perceive it to be a threat, and I told him he wasn't going to be armed at home," RNC Superintendent Jason Sheppard said.

Perhaps a Newfoundjob should be the order of the day.
There's nothing civil about this war.

SAN ANTONIO - One man is dead after pulling a shotgun on officers who were executing a search warrant at a home on Vickers Avenue on the southwest side of San Antonio.

Police entered the home to serve a narcotics search warrant when they said they were met by a Hispanic man in his 30s pointing a sawed-off shotgun at them. The man didn't shoot, but officers fired one round that hit him in his torso and killed him, according to the San Antonio Police Department.

Mail carrier shooting suspects expected in federal court on Thursday morning

    http://foxsanantonio.com/news/local/...ursday-morning

SAN ANTONIO - Three suspects who were arrested following a massive 4-day manhunt will face a federal judge on Thursday morning.
Bradley A'Hearn, 22, Sara Richford, 26, and Piper Lee, 40, are accused in the shooting of a mail carrier in Spring Branch over the weekend.
In a federal complaint, officials say A'Hearn shot the postal carrier the victim as she was delivering mail in Spring Branch, then stole her vehicle, which still had her purse and a large amount of mail inside.

Then on Monday, authorities believe the three suspects led several law enforcement officers from various agencies on a wild chase down Highway 281 on the city's North Side. Several witnesses reported the suspects were driving on the wrong side of the highway and firing gunshots at officers. They managed to lose officers somewhere near Highway 281 and Loop 1604 on the North Side.
Just one day later, officers chased the fugitives into a parking garage at North Star Mall where they lost them again. They were finally arrested by the San Antonio Police Department's SWAT unit at the Sunset Inn Motel on Wednesday.

Looks like he was found guilty by the judge in a bench trial--- 21 counts of various felonies and misdemeanors.

Jackson said Strickland's contention that he was in grave danger isn't believable, pointing out that Stickland reholstered his gun and stepped off the street and onto the sidewalk to give an interview in front of a TV camera just steps away from the scene of the confrontation.
