Unusual. So far.
Teen making and selling ghost guns. Shoots at somebody trying to hijack him. Kills his sister by mistake. Georgia.

Not that unusual. We have discussed the increasing use of 80% / so called ghost guns in the criminal world. Some in the 2A world, usually people with no actual exposure to the criminal world, are in denial about this but gun savvy LEOs are aware it’s a growing issue, particularly in places where factory made guns are harder to come by such as CA, NY etc. they are starting to pop up in US Border Patrol encounters as well.
re: Doing dirt from your home is a bad idea. This is why smart crooks here rent a hotel room under an alias, knock out a dozen or so P80s, offer them on social media and disappear once they sell out, which usually happens in a few hours.
Crooks (even pint sized ones) shooting innocent bystanders is also not unusual.

South Carolina gun shop owner charged after ‘prank’ leaves friend dead
BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – Charges have been filed against a South Carolina gun shop owner who fatally shot a friend after mistaking a Glock 17 for a BB gun, according to police.
Jail records show Jon Whitley, who owns Coastal Firearm, was arrested Monday on a charge of involuntary manslaughter.
Berkeley County deputies responded to the business on Nov. 2 and found Stefan Mrgan with a gunshot wound to the face.
Mrgan did not survive the shooting.
Whitley told deputies that he thought he was holding a replica BB gun when he tried to prank his friend and part-time employee by shooting him with it, according to an affidavit obtained by the Associated Press.
A witness said that the men were talking normally when he heard a loud bang and then saw Mrgan fall to the ground. The witness ran to Mrgan, secured Mrgan’s weapon, and began first aid until EMS arrived, according to the report.
Whitley was given a $15,000 bond.
Jerry Meehan, who is representing Mrgan’s widow, requested that Whitley not be allowed to possess a firearm as a condition of his bond, which the judge granted. Meehan said that the family is happy with the judge’s decision to grant that condition.
It is unclear how that bond condition will impact Whitley’s role as the owner of a gun shop.
Just had to assist our local DA's with a defense request to examine a murder weapon. The gun....a Polymer 80 "Glock 27" clone, was used by a 16 year old suspect to murder a dude who wouldn't buy his drunk ass more beer.
The Defenses "expert" had claimed the gun was inoperable....though the crime lab had test fired it. Defense lawyer kinda figured this was bullshit....but went along representing the clients interests (guy is an ex cop and a very good defense attorney). Of course....his "expert" never showed. He showed me his "experts" CV and asked me what I thought. I told him "Joe....I wouldn't let that guy handle a gun, much less testify as an expert."
On point.....our local shitheads are making increasing use of 80% guns.
So USBP AZ just recovered an 80% AR and a P80 in a cache of gear. They have been used in two recent / high profile shootings of LEOs in CA I'm aware of- the two LASD deputies ambushed in their vehicle a year or two back and a central CA (Kern County ?) SWAT Officer shot in a stand off, though that subject also had an AK.
I believe there's at least two LAPD shootings in the LE OUF Video thread here involving suspects with P80s as well.
An buddy on NYPD advised they are seeing/ seizing lots of P80s as well.
The suspect who killed an US FPS Guard and wounded another at the Federal courthouse in Oakland then ambushed Santa Cruz County Sheriff's Deputies, killing one and wounding two more used an 80% 9mm AR with a self made suppressor.
The Active Shooter her in Midland/Odessa in 2019 used an 80% AR purchased from a subject making them for resale at inflated prices to prohibited persons. The ANTIFA subject who shot up the US ICE detention Center in Tacoma WA in 2019 also used an 80% AR so its been a thing for a bit now.
The genie is out of the bottle and I suspect if there was a crack down on 80% receivers 3D printed would simply become more common.

Kentucky dispatcher dies after being shot inside 911 call center
BELL COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - A 911 dispatcher was shot and killed inside the Bell County 911 Center.
Kentucky State Police says it happened early Friday morning, around 1 a.m.
KSP says two dispatchers were inside the Bell County 911 Center trading firearms when one of the weapons was accidentally discharged, hitting 23-year-old Kyle Garrett, of Frakes.
Garrett was taken to Pineville Community Health Center where he was pronounced dead. An autopsy for Garrett will be performed at the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Frankfort.
According to the sheriff’s office, non-sworn personnel are not allowed to have firearms in the 911 Center.
The sheriff’s office added that the two dispatchers were cousins and best friends, who “grew up together and shared the hobby of casual gun trading.”
KSP is investigating the incident.
