    https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/st...ansmsnnewsctrl

Spokesperson says the shooting was accidental and an investigation will look into why an off-duty police officer (the decedent) was killed at the home of another on-duty officer and a third on-duty officer was present.

In short, two masked and armed men tried to rob a car dealership in Connecticut at the end of November. An armed customer engaged them and shot one of them dead. The other would-be robber fled. He was arrested last week.
If we have to march off into the next world, let us walk there on the bodies of our enemies.

Not so accidental after all. The department now says it was russian roulette.

Footage of the attack in Nairobi from beginning to end including clearing operations.
Good footage. The security forces appear much more prepared this time, compared the fiasco during the mall attack a few years ago.

Of course, it doesn't hurt to have some quick help from the SAS. There are also reports that an Australian diplomatic security detail engaged the terrorists.

Obviously a horrible event, but less so than some others in Kenya's recent history.

A gun-wielding good Samaritan brought a harrowing road rage incident to a safe end, reportedly stopping a driver who'd been racing through Massachusetts -- with a 65-year-old man clinging to the hood of his SUV.

Houston PD Officers Shot. 2 Critical, 3 Stable. 2 Suspects DRT.

Breaking story. Www.abc13.com has live feed. Chief is supposed to make a live statement at 1930 Central Time.

    Prayers.

    Edits:

It appears to have been a warrant service incident, with multiple agencies involved, including numerous BATFE.

Nearest streets Harding and Fennel, in SE part of Houston.

Some officers now leaving perimeter, so it may be under control. Something like 20-block perimeter, originally, and news media can now get within two blocks.

As of 1935 HRS, no news conference, yet.

Mobile Command Vehicle leaving the scene, which strongly indicates scene under control.

Chief Acevedo walked out of hospital to brief officers, who were gathered, but no news conference yet.

OK, statements made by mayor and chief. Four officers shot, and one knee injury. The two critical-condition officers, who were Life-Flighted, were shot in their neck areas. Two suspects are, indeed, DRT. The search warrant was regarding black tar heroin being sold at the location.

Notably, HPD is an aging department, as three of the injured officers are in their fifties.

It appears that the numerous BATFE agents, visible at the scene, were not involved in the warrant service.

Yes. Thanks. Chief Acevedo has, largely, been good for HPD. He does stand up for us at news conferences. (I am actually retired, but recently enough to still feel, somewhat, a part of the team.)

    Pulled trigger. No BANG.

Lost Millions (before insurance). Needs Glock.

Millions in artwork, jewelry stolen from Tony Buzbee’s home

The thief made off with several million dollars’ worth of artwork and jewelry, a Houston police spokesperson said.

Buzbee was armed and attempted to shoot the burglar, he said, but his gun misfired.
