Police: Two men injured in shooting accident at Keene range

Two safety officers went to the hospital Sunday with gunshot wounds after one accidentally fired a gun at the other at an event at the shooting range on Ferry Brook Road, Keene police said.

Officers responded to the range, run by the Cheshire County Shooting Sports Education Foundation, at about 11:40 a.m., according to Keene police Sgt. Collin L. Zamore.

One safety officer apparently attempted to give a demonstration using a dummy weapon, Zamore said, but grabbed a real firearm by mistake. The man fired the gun while his hand was in front of it, according to Zamore, and the bullet traveled through his hand and into the abdomen of a second safety officer.

One of the criminals had a gun and fired but all three ended up dead.

That is some hard core theft prevention.

being someone who in the not-too-distant future will hopefully have lots of his stuff stored at a location that he owns but does not visit on a regular basis say everyday, if I were on that jury I would have voted not guilty!

That being said, what do we think the result would have been if he had had, say, a two-way camera with audio capability hooked up to see exactly where the shot gun was pointed, shouted halt or something through whatever speakers are available, and then fired.

STROUDSBURG, Pa. -- A man was shot and wounded during a tactical training drill in the Poconos.

The man was shot in the neck at Threat Assessment and Tactical Solutions in Stroudsburg Sunday afternoon.

That person was taken to the hospital and is recovering.

Rockwell Tactical Group had rented the facility for a class.

Rockwell's website calls the shooting "an unfortunate incident."

Police say the shooting appears accidental, but they are still investigating here in Monroe County.

This was exactly how LSP shot and killed another agency officer 20 years or so ago. Instructor left training area for court. We he came back he didn’t get cleared/searched and walked into a scenario and drew his duty weapon and killed a student with a demo.

There’s also been numerous folks who are questioning 1) Why were the HOMEOWNERS outside at 4AM and 2) Why one was armed whilest being outside at that time.
