When I give private lessons, if I need to demo, I use the student's gun. That way they don't think I'm using a tricked out SCCY to be able to shoot well.

The female officer pulled a tazer first it looks like. She'd have been in deep kitten a couple of times in the video if the perp had a real gun and intended to use it.
We saw this all the time in training and the field. It is literally Hick's Law in action. I didn't carry a Taser and very much limited my options as much as I could on "less lethal" stuff, and it was placed on my belt in a manner that only 1 thing was on each side available to me to prevent this. Part of the problem of the over reliance on all the tools to use other than hands (which many officers have an aversion to) and guns (which the media and pundits and uninformed have an aversion to) has caused a massive over-reliance on these things and it is a problem with "tool confusion" and the spreading of skills and training to so many things that they cannot maintain any level of competence on any of them.
Just a Hairy Special Snowflake supply clerk with no field experience, shooting an Asymetric carbine as a Try Hard. Snarky and easily butt hurt. Favorite animal is the Cape Buffalo....likely indicative of a personality disorder.
