The Sacramento Police Department Monday released 53 new video files and two audio files of the Stephon Clark shooting. The video and audio predominantly come from the body-worn and in-car cameras of officers responding to the scene of last month's fatal incident. The Sacramento Bee is asking for your help to review this additional footage. Many viewers have cultural competencies, whether from the law-enforcement perspective or from the community standpoint, that offer insight into how events unfolded during the incident. We want to know what you see and hear that strikes you as important. Here is a Google spreadsheet where you can record your observations on each of the videos. Our reporters are monitoring this document and will follow up as information is received. This is new for us - we are crowdsourcing information and expertise. We hope you will join us as we strive to transparently and fairly report this story, with a diversity of viewpoints and knowledge.

Three men say they were asleep inside a mobile home in Glen St. Mary about 4 a.m. Sunday when they heard a voice outside yell “Sheriff’s Office!” before the front door burst open.

In stormed a masked gunman who fired off a single round before two of the men inside, one armed with an AR-15 rifle and the other with a handgun, emerged from two bedrooms and opened fire.

Gunfire ripped into the masked gunman and two other intruders, who crumpled to the floor with multiple gunshot wounds.

Those details surfaced Tuesday when the Baker County Sheriff’s Office released an arrest report linked to this weekend’s home invasion turned deadly triple shooting.

Five people are charged in the case. Investigators suspect the home invasion escalated from an ongoing feud between two groups that was stoked by social media threats.

The victims told deputies they acted in self-defense when they turned their guns on the intruders, with one of them estimating he fired over 30 rounds from an AR-15 before the threat was over.

Katie Layne Quackenbush, 26, has been charged with attempted murder for the Aug. 26 shooting of 54-year-old Gerald Melton, who remains hospitalized at Vanderbilt University Medical Center with critical injuries. Jesse Quackenbush, Katie’s father, said his daughter and her friend were being accosted by Melton, whom he alleged approached the Porsche as the women sat inside, threatening to kill them and making explicit and sexist remarks at Quackenbush. “She didn’t try and kill this guy,” Jesse Quackenbush said Monday night, a few hours after his daughter was arrested on the charge. “She had no intention of killing him. She didn’t know that she hit him.” She fired two “warning shots” and then left, because Melton continued to approach the women, according to Jesse Quackenbush. “She did say she closed her eyes when she shot both times, but they were warnings, and she thought she pointed away from him,” Jesse recalled.
