100% agree. Both drivers were acting like assholes, and they both escalated the situation completely unnecessarily including risking the safety and lives of not just themselves and their passengers but also the rest of the drivers on the road.

Courier is just bait, had extreme trouble accomplishing the simplest tasks, and had a look on his face like he had already accepted his fate and was just waiting to be executed.

Hopefully they give that driver-courier a job offer direct to the Flying Squad.

I believe this is a news article for it:

Just saw this video, dang its intense. This article below says the driver was a retired "SAPS Special Task Force" guy, which sounds like the South African SWAT. Also says a similar incident on the same day happened where one security guy was killed and another wounded driving an escort vehicle.

I have heard SA is bad for car jacking civilians but shooting at armored cars is nuts.

SAPS Special Task Force are some hard, hard MF'ers. Not sure if it's still true, but the STF training/selection program had/has more in common with military meat-eater entry schools like RASP or BUD/S than anything else.

Yes. At least for the national police Special Task Force. Long format interview with a former "Takie"

Suspected intruder near CIA headquarters shot by FBI agents
No agency personnel were hurt and the Virginia facility remains secure

A suspected intruder who was stopped by armed guards near the main entrance to Central Intelligence Agency's Virginia headquarters on Monday was shot by FBI agents.

The shooting occurred around 6 p.m. when the unidentified suspect got out of his vehicle with a weapon before he was shot, the FBI told Fox News in a statement.

"The subject was wounded and has been transported to a hospital for medical attention," the FBI said.

The agency did not specify what type of weapon the suspect had or his motive.

I'm not sure this was a planned shooting, it may have just been a bunch of jack-holes screwing around, judging by the tire tracks.

ETA: There was a picture of some of the brass at 0:13 in the first link, and it looked like at least some rifle rounds, probably .223.
