A woman was trying to shoot someone in a road rage incident, police say, but shot her husband instead.

--- Shot him in the head. I wonder if he had posted somewhere on what gun to buy his wife.

Suspect dead, victim injured after robbery turns into shootout in Spring

Deputies said a man was getting out of his truck when he was approached by two other men who tried to rob him. The situation escalated and the driver and robbers opened fire on each other, authorities said.

Deputies said one of the robbers was hit and had to be rushed to a hospital, where he later died.

It has been a rough week for armed robbers in the Houston area. Just before, or on Independence Day, a complainant shot a teen armed robber at a fireworks stand, with the robber’s gun.

This reminds me of a time when two teen armed robbers were spined, in separate incidents, in a relatively short time frame, a few years ago. I photographed one of those scenes, and a few nights later, the guard-a-prisoner rotation reached my name. The kid did not look like a thug, but was certainly playing one the night he lost the voluntary use of his lower body. Sad.

Deceased suspect had realistic-looking bb gun, but the family says: "We maintain she was unarmed. A fake gun is a fake gun."

SAPD: 2 injured when security guard drops gun, gun goes off

SAN ANTONIO - Two women were injured Sunday after a security guard dropped his firearm while trying to put grocery carts back, police said.
"As (the security guard) was pushing the carts, his belt came open, gun fell to the ground and a shot went off, hit the ground. What we're thinking now is (the bullet) ricocheted and hit two women that were shopping," said San Antonio police Sgt. Ralph Salazar.

Police are trying to confirm whether the two women were actually shot. It's believed they were hit in their backs by shrapnel.

I have to wonder if the guard attempted to snatch the handgun mid-fall, causing it to "go off".....
