70 year old man finds his stolen SUV and shoots person driving it, authorities say

WAUNA, Wash. (KOMO) — A man called police after shooting someone he claims was driving his stolen car, authorities said.
Deputies said the shooter, a 70-year-old man, told them he found his stolen vehicle at a home in the area and began to argue with the man driving it.

Reports indicate the 23-year-old man then started to drive off in the stolen SUV when the shooter opened fire. The driver was hit and ended up crashing into a tree. He was rushed to the hospital.

Deputies say the shooter was also taken to the hospital after he claimed he was hit by the SUV during the altercation.

No charges against Jacksonville police officer who shot & killed his son

    Prayers for this family.

Prosecutors say the officer left his home to retrieve his police vehicle and had his service revolver on his side. They say when he returned home, he was met by his son, and the two engaged in an Airsoft gun battle in the front yard. The three Airsoft guns were Christmas gifts; Clukey had two pistol-style Airsoft guns, and his son had an AR-15-style Airsoft gun.

When Clukey’s first pistol-style Airsoft gun was empty, he threw that to the ground and mistakenly grabbed his service weapon instead of the second Airsoft gun.

This can't be true...tell me it can't be.
There's nothing civil about this war.

    That is absolutely horrible.

When we do force on force training, everyone gets wanded and frisked. Doesn't matter if you're in the senior executive service and have lunch with presidential appointees, we need to make sure you're not armed.

Not to make light of this tragic incident, but surely this was bad reporting and the Jacksonville PD does not have service revolvers.
Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

Another story said "duty weapon", so "revolver" was probably an error.

    Tragic.
