Alt-country was big in the 90s. The Old 97's being one of the more well known alt country groups. Though their post 90s stuff was not very country .

May it not be true.Earlier in the day, multiple sources told NBC DFW that one of the officers had died, but during a news conference Tuesday evening, Dallas Police Chief Renee Hall said she would not release the conditions of those shot -- therefore NBC DFW will await official confirmation on the officers' conditions.

BTW - suspect is in custody after a high speed pursuit.
One source is reporting the suspect had a bench warrant - apparently he plead guilty to felony vehicle theft this past November and failed to appear for sentencing.
