Newly released body cam video shows the moment a Knox County Sheriff's deputy fires at a homeowner armed with a gun.

No one was hurt and no charges are pending.

Deputy responding to residential false alarm and and armed homeowner confront each other. Deputy fires a shot which luckily misses.

Homeowner was unaware they set off their own alarm. Deputy did not adequately announce himself before going around to try the back door. “Hilarity ensues.”

3 suspects dead, another injured after homeowner opens fire during east Houston break-in

Police say four men forced their way into a home on Sherman at 71st around 12:45 a.m. Saturday.

Detectives said the homeowner grabbed his gun and shot all four of the suspects.

The neighbor says he ran inside his home and took cover. He said he believes the men were at the home to rob his neighbor, however he says he does not know what they were after. He said he doesn't know his neighbor's name and only calls him "Flaco."

Huntsville (AL) Police say the incident began as a dispute related to restaurant service. Investigators say that Roderick Turner, 25, was at the restaurant to pick up a to-go order when he became disruptive and loud regarding the service. Police said a verbal altercation turned physical with an employee of the restaurant. Police say after the fight, Turner had a gun and began firing at employees, shooting Roy Brown, 56, and the unnamed employee. Police say that unnamed employee had a handgun and he shot Turner in self-defense of others. Madison County Coroner Tyler Berryhill said Brown and Turner both died from gunshot wounds. The second IHOP employee was transported to Huntsville Hospital with non-life threatening injuries and remains in stable condition. Police said two handguns were recovered from the scene and they are not looking for any other suspects. At this time, police say they aren't planning on making any arrests in the case, however it will be turned over to a Grand Jury for review as is customary in similar circumstances.

Police say the victim was a 16-year-old boy and the driver of a black Mercedes.

“A group of individuals had met up here in a car, there was a shooting in the car, victim was shot from a short distance and he was driving and hit the wall here at Walmart,” said Commander David Leibman, who is with the Renton Police Department.

Carjacking leads to shootout in Burien neighborhood

Investigators are searching for three suspects involved in a shootout with a Burien man they carjacked at gunpoint in his driveway Sunday evening, according to the King County Sheriff’s Office.

...Deputies said the victim wasn’t hurt and that it didn’t appear any of the suspects were shot because there was no blood found on scene.

Investigators say the victim, who has a concealed pistol license and was armed during the carjacking, opened fire on the three suspects after one of them pointed a gun at him.

The apts in question are commercial properties and not on campus. There are lots of non students living in them, many of whom are from Houston.
