Can't argue that. You'd think with a 14" barrel they'd just pin and weld a flash hider so they could have a real stock. The SBA3 is really good for a brace but it still ain't a stock.
I was interested in the old 805, I think I could live with the reciprocating charging handle and the bolt hold open. But sticking my finger in the trigger guard for anything other than pulling the trigger just isn't a good idea to me.
To be fair I love my Garand but the safety is pretty goofy as hell.
But then I like the VP9 mag release and others hate them so what do I know.
And no one is a fan of mini-14s.

Granted I’ve never owned, shot, or done anything other than held one, but I like them for some dumb reason.

If you watch the video, the Bren 2 has two different bolt catches. You can use the one in the trigger guard, but if you don't like that system, it also features an AR15 Paddle Catch/Release along the left side of the frame, just like the AR15.
Overall it looks like a cool rifle. I'm curious what the weight savings of the Bren 2 are - originally it was billed as 1lb lighter then the S1.
