Which one? Lee, West Springfield, Lake Braddock, Robinson, Annandale, or Hayfield?

Lee. And Frances Scott Key Middle before that. And Franconia Elementary before THAT. [emoji41]

I watched Springfield Mall being built. Should give you a time frame. [emoji4]

I just got back from DC and this was my second trip in 3 months and this trend looks to continue. Unfortunately, I have not been able to really see any sights or history as work has taken up every waking moment. I hope to take my family within the next year on one of these trips to DC as that will force me to make a vacation out of it. I really want to include Philly for the historical content. DC the Land of suits, ties, black SUV's and everyone works for Uncle. So much history in DC, it pains me to miss it.

The National Law Enforcement Museum just opened last week, as well.

Did you get a chance to see that, @Enel?

I live in the area, hate DC too much to tour it.

No. Did not know about it.

I guess it all depends on the tone set by the OP. Usually mentions of DC turn into talk about how one must never go there and how you will be murdered/raped/desecrated if you dare cross the Potomac. (And let’s not even think about those poor souls that live on the northern side. )

So far only one has shown up in this thread. That’s refreshing.

DC is a must for all families at some point.

Lee was in my backyard. Went to Springfield Estates and then Mark Twain.

I do remember the “new wing” of Springfield Mall being built.

Well, we would put it as one of our top vacation trips ever. Maybe it is the age of the kids though. 10-18 makes it easy to get around.
