So much more comfortable than a foam wedge...

I'm sorry, I didn't say in my original post. I bought a foam block, but it was a yoga foam block.

Because I'm that kind of guy, I care about how it looks. Also a jagged surface makes it harder to adhere velcro to. Hmm, just came up with an idea - maybe I could use my FoodSaver vaccum sealer to make a really good seal between the velcro and foam.

I remember reading that, however - Melody is petite. I'm a bit larger, hence I need more tuck.

Hmm. I'll take "things drag queens say" for 200 Alex.

That looks nifty, I'll try that someday. On a semi-related note, I don't find this foam block necessarily uncomfortable, though I notice it most when I'm sitting down and leaning forward.

The wedge I buy with the holsters work well... for about a week. Watched Scott "Jedi" Jedlinski's video on AIWB concealment for big guys and I got a foam block and some sticky velcro at WalMart. Cut up a block with my Delica, but it isn't pretty. If you need a visual, it's like cutting that packing Styrofoam where chunks pop off as you're making cuts.

Any tips on making clean cuts and shaping, etc? Is it possible to make a Tennicor-style tapered wedge without compromising the foam?
Email me, I can do one.
    Think for yourself. Question authority.

I used the Melody Lauer Holster hack to modify one of my leather holsters for AIWB: cut up a Dr Scholl’s gel insert.
