The halftime show is supposedly based on the 2002 movie "John Q" in which Denzell Washington portrays a man taking hostages in a hospital to obtain treatment for his son. I probably saw the movie, but don't recall an anti-law enforcement spin to it. I find it difficult to believe that high school students found a movie produced when they were toddlers particularly iconic and suspect this was used by teachers and students as a means top express hate and encourage violence against law enforcement while trying to avoid responsibility by blaming one of a beloved actor's less memorable films.
