Testing you training and carry ammo

So I see in my classes all the time that folks will spend LOTS of $$ on the class, guns, transportation, hotels, food and gear.. then they buy the cheapest ammo they can.. just know it doesn't work out that well for most of y'all all the time!!!!

Being penny wise & pound foolish rarely work out well in real life, especially when brass cased, factory loaded 9x19 FMJ can be had for $172 per 1000.....

Is it all that different from the guy who carries a Wilson in an Uncle Mike's sausage sack?

WOW, I would not think any ammo would be that inconsistent at 7 yards. I have shot a lot of the cheapest ammo I could find, especially during the crunch, and never found any that bad.

( no offense meant) This is part of the problem folks will buy that ammo or maybe even "better" ammo and one of them wont shoot POA/POI or one of them will shoot a 2' group compared to a 7' group etc..

Proof the ammo you train with and carry!!!! they should have the same POA-POI

And they should run in the gun!!!

What ammo was the culprit? I saw the vid and you fixed it with Blazer Brass or Fed American Eagle?

Besides the fact that some gun/barrel combos are happier with some loads than others, I've never noticed any mass-produced FMJ to be significantly better or worse. I also don't buy gun show reloads or no-name bargain bin ammo. If you haven't heard of it, you should probably pass.

It was some local reload stuff IIRC.

Both the AE and BB shot well but they both shot ~ 2' High Left at 7 yards
