    Whatever works for you. I have examples of both and they're just fine. For a defensive carry gun, it really doesn't matter as long as you know how to use it well.

    Taken ECQC once and it was an exceptional course. Everyone who is serious about responsible CCW should take it IMHO.

    I see a thumb safety as an advantage; however, I would not compromise reliability, capacity or shoot ability just to net the thumb safety. In one of my 2 v 1 evos where I was the 1 I ended up with two guys ontop of me with a malfunction that I couldn’t clear with a TRB. I ended up dumping the mag, running the slide and tossing be gun, and remember thinking to myself that if I had a thumb safety I would have flicked it on, but that I would not have trusted it alone with the loaded gun unless that was my only option.
