Is it wrong that I still kind of want a 23X gun? (civvy 23MHS)? I know, I know...".40 S&W is dead, it doesn't do anything that 9mm doesn't do with less recoil, etc..."

I'd get in on that action. I still think there's enough justification for the .40 to keep one around in this 9mm world, and a 23X would probably do that quite well. Especially if it had a slightly beefed-up slide like the Brazilian 22.5 seems to.
