Lacrosse (the sportsball game, not a brand name) gear bags are probably about the right size and shape to work as an AR bag. Other sports as well.

Not another dime.
Let's keep investigating this. I either need a case around 26" on the inside or say 33.5" on the inside ( #JustSuppressorThings )

Good data:
Bass case for $24.99, 49"
I really, really like this 32" baritone case for $24.99. I think I could wedge the AR .300blk pistol in there with the can pretty easily.

Guitar, uke, and other stringed-instrument cases are lame. you need a bassoon case.

You need to step up:
Are you now, or have you ever been a member of the Doodie Project?
This is a thread where I built a boat I designed and which I very occasionally update with accounts of using it, which is really fun as long as I'm not driving over logs and blowing up the outboard.

The former tromboneist (tromboner?) in me would have to ask, "Is that a Trigger Trombone or are you just happy to see me?"
I mean at that point, just go tuba and be done with it. No one is going to want to mug a middle-aged man carrying a tuba case. Especially if you are wearing lederhosen too.
I can see it now - a whole new generation of competition shooters...arriving at the range with their tuba cases and their tactical lederhosen. Lederhosen with mag pouches built right in. They'll either shoot HKs or the real elites among them, Swiss-made Sigs.
