Thread: I think I might have found my next SBR/AR pistol case

I think I might have found my next SBR/AR pistol case

25.9" total length. Backpack straps and carry handle. Cheap. 10MM of padding. It's available in a plethora of colors and patterns as so to not appear "tactical." The "Tenor" is the largest one, there's two other smaller sizes.

Baritone or Bass Uke cases will be an inch or two longer if that makes a diff.

The grey felt looking case is nice!

I've shopped a lot of saxophone cases.

One problem with a musical instrument case is that it still has an implied label saying, "Steal me."

'Uke' bags are sized well for transporting match gear to pistol matches too. I much prefer musical instrument bags to gun cases. Though they do say "Steal Me!" Not as many people are stealing ukuleles as cameras, guns, and guitars. And I'm more concerned with my neighbors thinking I have firearms than thinking that I like to sing "Somewhere over the Rainbow" while strumming alone on Friday nights.

Instrument cases, gym bags, bat bags, etc. will all be targeted by some thief somewhere. They aren't about leaving them in plain sight unsecured... they are about getting the rifle(s) into and out of the vehicle, home, hotel, etc. covertly. When being left in a vehicle you still want to lock them in a secure manner. Anything big enough to hide a rifle (even a broken down AR) is big enough to make a thief think it's worth taking.

The bags like LL linked are all about not scaring the snowflakes.

I have a traditional AR soft case for a broke down M4orgery - but, it is a bright maroon color. I have carried into multiple hotels on trips without a second look. Cannot remember the manufacturer - wish more would make cases in non-"tactical" colors. I also bought a bright red hockey stick case but it looks suspicious in GA.
