Interesting concept. I'd been toying with the idea of putting a cheapo discount-store red dot on a SIRT, for training purposes. This would be cheaper and probably do most of the same things.

I had a SIRT for a couple years, and found it invaluable in learning the in's and out's of safe AIWB practices. That said, I couldn't ever get past my tendency to look past my sights for the dot (I had the red/green version). My concern with this new SPOT rear sight add-on, would be a training scar created by the need to apply trigger pressure in order to produce the "aiming" dot.
