    M&P 2.0 45 Compact drops at S&W

A new 2.0 Compact in 45 ACP is now on the S&W website.

Safety and No safety models as well as LE with night sights.

    Looks good to me....

Thank you for the information. I think that I need one. I have .45 veins in a 9mm world.

Sigh, yet another short slide, long grip pistol. I was hoping for an update of the older 4" 8-shot model...

I really love my M&P45 1.0 Midsize (appears to be the same pistol as this new release). The dimensions are really pretty much perfect. I'm sure they will release a true compact sooner than later. Just need to make the molds for the smaller 2.0 grip.

    It's a 2.0 grip with a 4" 1.0 slide, right?

It looks like they re-designed the slide in line with the other 2.0 changes (lower profile forward slide serrations).

But yeah, it's basically what S&W called the M&P45 Mid-size in the 1.0 series pistols.

    I would prefer a 5" barrel.

I own a 4" and 5" 1.0 .45, and honestly it's hard to tell which one I prefer, but I lean slightly in the direction of the 4"

I really like my .45 full size and 9mm 4" compact, so this makes sense
