    Picked up a .22lr 16” MLOK upper on Sale:

    https://palmettostatearmory.com/psa-...12%3a00+Email#

    It arrived today.

    Initial impression is it looks good but it is a little rough. The MLOK slots on the handguards have some sharp edges and ejection port door is very hard to close.

    We shall see how it actually shots.

    I've been looking at that screw for some time now. I implemented it differently (because I didn't know of Joe Bob's product) on my carbine by screwing a set screw with the same threads as the grip screw up to the underside of the trigger assembly, then shortening the grip screw. Essentially a 2-piece version of Job Bob's screw above. It made a huge difference.

    Just need to go to the store and pick up a $60 lower.
    Complete AR pistol for less than $340. Salad days for real.

    Shoulda sprung for the version with the SBA3 brace. So worth it. Still, you will enjoy it.

    I got my (pseudo) dissy upper today. Still need to get an BCG and charging handle. I have it mocked up on a lower because I wanted to grope it.

    I’ve never shot an AR pistol with a brace, what makes the SBA3 brace better?

    SBA3 fits on a regular carbine buffer tube and is quick-adjustable. It also has a QD socket and it's just a little more comfortable. I have a couple of the Blade braces and there's nothing wrong with them but I'm really glad I spent the extra money for my pistol kit and got the one with the Magpul furniture and SBA3 brace. I can collapse it down and it fits in an old M60 barrel bag.

    Damn those deals!!!!

    I was bitten by the PSA bug also;

    Bought a pistol lower and built a MK18 budget clone/ forgery.

    Had the MOE grip in the parts box (went with the sticky one on a rifle) and a friend donated the hand stop. Another friend donated me the BCG, but I sorta donated my blast cabinet to him.
    Another thing about these shenanigans is the availability of a low cost optic (this one is the SIG) that does not seem to be a total PoS makes it more feasible. Pretty sure I would not have a AR pistol if it would require a $500 Aimpoint…
