Get the good deals while you can. Eventually, these will cease being offerred. Sadly, we are seeing them because our shooting industry is in trouble. When inflation is considered, ammo prices are the lowest that they have been in many decades.

Got my pistol kit today. The gas key needs better staking and I forgot to order a rear sight for it but can't complain for the price. The SBA3 is super awesome.

I figure if I like the whole "pistol" thing then I will move into 300BO with one.

I'm building my first AR. I already have the lower (the PSA classic). For an upper, I was thinking either this,

    Or an Aero Precision

    https://aeroprecisionusa.com/ar15-co...id-length.html

Any suggestions? Does anyone have experience with either of these specific uppers?

In general, PSA's house uppers seem to do well, especially as a first time upper.
I have a PTAC and a FREEDOM rifle kit from them; both shoot straight and run when I've used them.
I've not shot mine a lot due to range access issues currently; a situation I intend to remedy in the coming year.

I also have 3 builds with uppers from Wise Arms https://wisearms.com/collections/ar-15/complete-uppers
They're different uppers now from the ones I bought, but I can't imagine they won't work as well.

So what is a good carrier key staking tool and where do I get it?

I did that on the end plate. Figured I could cough up a few bones for a proper tool for the gas key since I have a few rifles that could use it.

I’ve heard good things about this as well.

Any updates on the 300BO? I’m thinking about watching for a deal over the next couple months.
