Mine isn’t as shiny, but also a Model of 1989 M625. Ahrends grips.

Cool. I had a 1988 625 that I had re-barreled by Nowlin. Won a lot of money shooting pins with it. Then I sold it like a dope.

I had one that boomeranged. Picked it up used for around three bills. Traded it to a friend who sold it to another friend who sold it back to me. Along the way it had a couple trips to Smith and among other things had the cylinder shimmed and a 4" in addition to the 5" barrel as well as holsters, grips and a metric shit-ton of moon-clips. I should feel guilty.

He wasn't in my group at that time. We first worked together on SRT and then in the Marine Smuggling Group run by a supervisor who later went to prison. To say we were stunned is to say the least.

    Bingo! Quite the tan, no?

(That was a fun case. One of my first large seizures from a Colombian trafficking organization.)

HA! My ASAC was walking by, and I showed her the pics. She recognized Jim Martin as the shoulder holstered pistolero in your first picture! He was in Houston just when he retired.

Jim Martin is the guy with the shoulder holster. The other guys, except for the one on the left, from FDLE, were also in my group.

I lost track of Jim after I left that group to go to the Florida Joint Task Group.

Would I know your ASAC? (If so, PM me.)

I shot at Topton and Ontelaunee more than once. When they made optics OK on a Stock revolver.
