    Yeah, but as you know that is another problem with old Jeeps. Their steering gets shot and they tend to steer all over the place like a drunken sailor (deliberate poke at the USN there) rather than where one wants to go.

    Had a friend once who completely overhauled his old flatfender. Unbolted the body. Installed all new tie rods, ball joints, shocks, brakes, bushings, U-joints, etc. Bolted the body back on and kept on dragging it past rocks and trees as God intended.
