I haven't shot the P226 for while. I have been shooting my 17.4 MOS red dot for a long time now but pickup the front sight out of the holster was no problem. The S&W 6404 was harder to shoot with the smallish sights but I could still keep 8/10 within the 8 ring at 25 yard (albeit slowly).

I set up a difficult 14 round mini-stage. It wasn't mini in dimensions: 20yd zebra, head-only partial, a "3D no-shoot", 17 yd 8" steel, with some 10-15yd hoser targets mixed in--and lots of running. 16.5s was a really good time. I'm working on setting up optimally for a target array after hard movement, and un-assing as fast as possible even when the targets are really hard. Very challenging but super fun.

I did some serious social distancing and took the 244AI, 700 LTR 223, and CZ 455 out to the desert over the long weekend to ring steel. It was only 200 yards but the mirage and wind made it really interesting to shoot anything for decent groups.

244AI, 80 Bergers over RL17, 200 yards with some pesky wind

Just over 1 MOA, even with the bad wind calls

Headshots with the 700 LTR, body shots were with the CZ 22LR using bulk Automatch. I was holding up to 2 mils of wind with the 22 so it made it feel like it was 1000 yards with a centerfire.

The 1:9 twist LTR shoots the 77 Nosler pretty well at 4500' elevation

Nope. Stipp Grips. I traded a P07 for this. All the work was done by previous owner. Stippling, HD sights, SCD and Overwatch Precision trigger. Came w a Tenicor AIWB holster and JMCK AIWB mag pouch. All I’ve done was purchase Shield mags and Shield mag release.

So far I like it. But I have just a few hundred rounds through it. I REALLY like the stipple job.

    What did you shoot today?

350 round practice today—all static drills. I shot Garcia Dots, Doubles at 7, 15, and 25, and I finally broke 6s on the Accelerator Drill, with good hits. Interestingly, my best score was on drawing to the 15yd target and reloading on the 7 yd. Probably just random variations because I still have consistently best times drawing to the 25yd and reloading on the 7.
