No Kings in sight.
I have lined up a Novak Competition - the "doorstop" no milling required type - but if it does not come to taw with the existing front sight, I will appreciate your help.
Code Name: JET STREAM
(Actually yesterday...)
Pouring rain, so I stayed under the shed and shot steel.
Kept it old-school (mostly)...
Today...
Took my 16 y.o. mancub to put some rounds through his new M&P15.
Also let him put some rounds on paper and steel with the bolt gun.
Put four groups on paper, progressively pulling 'em together...
Yesterday, we shot the local "gallery" match which entails 34 hanging steel plates of various sizes from 8" and up at either 17 or 14 yards. Out of 12 shooters I took 3rd place in the mid-size semi-auto pistol category shot at 14 yards. Used my new HK USP 9 Compact light LEM with the nickel sear spring. I was quite pleased with that result as it was only the 2nd time I've fired that pistol and I was up against primarily Glock 19 and 4" or shorter barreled 1911 pistols. Half of those guns have red dots mounted. My USP9c still has the stock iron sights.
I really like that light LEM setup with the nickel sear spring! I've got that combination in all of my HK pistols except for my P2000SK (no nickel sear spring).
When I run a LEM gun in this match or the local bowling pin match I do not feel that the LEM is holding me back, speed wise.
