I took the Remington LTR 223 out to 844 yards today. I wasn't doing so great at that range with 1/5, so I backed it down to 545 and shot a mediocre group with a lot of vertical.

I ended up going prone and that is when I noticed the eyepiece had gotten loose. I locked it down, made sure I had all my fundamentals in order, and proceeded to go 5/5 on the 5" plate at 545.

It is the middle target in this pic

FAST score of the day...good thing I pulled a 3x5 shot and got to add the penalty. Need to put more work in.

It was the day of triple #s . The group I was shooting with hit 7.77 and 8.88

My carry LTT Elite, yesterday and today, PST 102a (a two day intermediate class) with Gabe White at the Public Safety Training Center near Portland. Great class, in a collegial atmosphere that felt like a group of friends. What I call a fine way to spend a weekend. About 800 rounds.

Yesterday I took my home built Franken 1911 in .40 to a steel match, where I ran two divisions. Took first in single stack and second limited.

Guess I wasn’t the only one to think that, as the guy who won limited was second single stack.

Not very bright but does lack ambition
A quick half hour session at lunch to try the new SP2022 and continue the G48 break in.
