Between zeroing it and checking zero I went through the 25 rounds of it I had brought with me, plus I went through 50 rounds of my .38 125-grain handloads in DA practice. I was carrying my 4" M10-8 and went through the 50 rounds of my 158-grain handloads I brought on Five Yard Roundups and double-taps.

I noticed that the cylinders were rotating sluggishly on both guns. When I got home I dug out the Hoppe's, chamber and bore brushes, and my Brownell's screwdriver with the S&W bits and the ejector rod removal tool, and gave those revolvers a good cleaning. They needed it.

    Bad ideas, brilliant execution

I don’t know who’s to blame for that but I know who didn’t do it!

Missed last Sunday thanks to a sinus infection so I made it up this afternoon. All DA, 90 through the 617 and 80 .38s split between the GP100s.

Thanks! They’re the factory grips but I’ll be replacing them with regular GP grips eventually, they just don’t play well with my hands. This is my second MC, I sold the first because of the hand/grip issue. It never occurred to me at the time to just change the grip. 🙄

Yesterday I took a newer shooter out to familiarize them with practical shooting. They just ordered a blue label G47, so I elected to bring my ZEV OZ9v2 Elite. We also shot rifles, of which I'm using an IWI Zion-15 12.5". Pistol work was done at 11 yards on multiple open targets and a 40% steel plate while rifle was at 61 yards. Lots of sprinting and transitions as well. The ZEV was shot from concealment using a Tenicor Malus Sol. It was 6 degrees, but the sun was out and there was little to no wind. It actually ended up being a nice day, and with the sprinting it was quite warm.

After I got home I ripped the plastic dovetail protectors off it pending delivery of the replacement Ameriglos today, but I took the new G49 out at lunch to test fire. No issues expected or found.

Reported elsewhere in Semis - Sig 365-380. Ran great , not like my G42. 47 As out of 52 (rest C's). Easy to shoot. Time sucks - knees, blah, blah.

I would've chose something in a larger caliber for bear defense.
