An absolutely beautiful day out at Austin Rifle Club.
My Brother has been making noises about getting a somewhat big bore pistol to carry when camping and hiking. After Christmas I loaned him my G-20 and my SW 25-5 45 Colt so he could try both 10mm and 45LC.
He let me know that he had decided to go with 10mm. Today, we hit the range with his new Gen4 G-20 and our normal various G-19, G-26 and other sundry pistols.
I managed to put so many of my dirty, nasty, smoky 545fps 158 grain SWC 38 Special powderpuff loads through my 640 that the cylinder started binding up. Usually I just have to brush out the cylinder every 50 rounds or so. I ended taking the crane and cylinder apart to clean after I got home.
During practice, I figured out that I can shoot left-handed so much easier than right-handed that I am going to switch back to left since I shot that way all my life until a few years ago. If my rotator cuff issues flare up again I may switch back, but my left hand performance is so much better than my right.
The good thing is I still have all my left handed holsters.
Gringop (gauche again)
