Hell, borderline too rich for my blood, too 😀 Had a bonus check come my way at the end of a two year long project and decided to be frivolous and get a grail gun instead of banking it. That was right before Beretta started direct importing them. I was sure, with increased volume, I'd bought at the crest of the price and should have waited. Man, was I wrong about that. Can't believe they now cost more than a Korth...

Glock 17 Gen 4 - totally stock, Herter FMJ. Ran just fine. Performance - lots As in indoor match. I like the gun as previously mentioned.

Zeroed the RMR after installing it on the nightstand G45, put more rounds through the 617 and 3" 686+ and broke out the Super Single Six for the first time in years.

The 617 is misfiring badly. I know the original owner didn't put a ton of rounds through it, I've only put 100-150 through so far and it seemed just fine on the last trip. Today fully half the rounds wouldn't fire on the first strike and probably only two-thirds fired on the second strike. This was with CCI SV, Norma Tac-22 and Aguila HV. All rounds that failed to fire in the 617 lit off in the Single Six except for two. I'll give it a good cleaning and see what happens next time.

Changed the factory 686 stocks for a set of Pachs and that really made a huge difference. The factory wood is stylish but skinny and slick which let it squirm around. I think we're going to get along just fine now. Well, after I replace the front sight with a fiber optic...

The two rounds that wouldn't light off in either revolver. There's four strikes on one and five on the other.

    Bill Drills WC 320C

Shot 10 Bill Drills today. I started them cold, no concealment AIWB in a JMCK 2.5 Wing Claw. 147gr. Reloads. I hadn't shot any Bill Drills in a long time and none with this pistol. I was actually pretty happy with my results considering.

I really want to love the staccato, but every time I shoot it, I end up only liking it. The LTT Beretta does just about everything the staccato does, and fits my hands better.

MCX function check day with the Sandman-S at the local indoor range. Both lowers with the 5.5” Rattler and 9” .300 BLK uppers, and just because I’m a turd I brought along the 5.5” Rattler 5.56 upper that normally gets used for .22LR (aka ASBO Jr.). I didn’t take along the 11.5” 5.56 upper since I need to Rocksett the sRx muzzle device after I pick up my new YHM Turbo T3 in a few weeks.

Everything ran great which was no surprise. Both .300 BLK uppers run fine in minus with subs suppressed or supers at all times and in plus with unsuppressed subs. I didn’t see much POI shift, but they were both gassy as expected. I’ll do the Permatex mod to all three uppers that will be used suppressed.

Once again I was surprised to see how people reacted to SBRs and a suppressor on the range, there were a lot of looky-loos. One nice couple on the next lane was curious what thermonuclear device I was shooting (the 5.5” 5.56) so I let them both try it. It’s ungodly loud and flashy, so I rarely shoot it indoors. Yeah, I was that guy today.

Shot my 3” 67 today. Cleaned the Casino Drill a couple times. Was also able to do the 5/5/5 card challenge with it (not cold and took me 3 tries). Also shot my G26L. Good couple hours.
