I was able to shoot my new G19.5 MOS with SCS today and my Shadow Systems MR920. I haven't been to the range in a while and dry fire is important, but it doesn't give you the recoil(I do need more dry fire practice). My Glock hits were okay when I took my time and pressed the trigger slowly. When I didn't they were low and left. My MR920 shots were way better since the trigger on the MR920 is lighter and shorter. It also has the threaded barrel and I have a little thread protector comp on it. It may have helped a little.

In short Grip (particularly support hand grip) is the issue.

Tim Herron does a great job outlining why in these videos.

Speer Reloading Manual #12 from 1994 shows the current Alliant max of 3.7gr for 240gr bullets.

They probably had more saltpeter and less charcoal in it in 1979. (joke)

I'm just glad that I got it working.

Digging into Allient history, it goes back to the Hercules Powder Company, which goes back to breakup of the DuPont explosives monopoly by the U.S. Circuit Court in 1911.

In 1995, Hercules, Inc. sold its subsidiary Hercules Aerospace Co. to Alliant Techsystems Inc.[17] The sale included all of what remained of Hercules' gunpowder lines.

And it's all "Vista Outdoor Inc" now

    Facilitating stuff to me.

Speer’s #10 was my first reloading manual. The past is a different country. I’m glad you got it working too!

    Correction, "Fascinating stuff to me."

Spell check, facilitating stupid stuff at break neck speed.

Speaking of stupid stuff, I just realized that in 1979, it would have been a real Hercules powder, before Alliant had any influence on it. That might explain the difference in the reloading manuals.

(insert real stupid joke/pun about Hercules standing alone, pure and strong, to produce a large volume of expanding gas. Once he had alliants or allies, the pressure would be increased. Bah, such a silly idea, puns about powder manufacturers, I shall speak of it Nemours)

The last outing of the DVC 2011 for the season. As much as I enjoy shooting it and Limited, I still hate .40

Another warmup with the B14R. Not as tight as last week but there was a little more wind this time. Still was able to shoot sub MOA on the second group.

Spent Thursday / Friday in a Ben Stoeger /Joel Park class with OldRunner/CSAT Neighbor. After two days of serious training it was time for a “shoot for fun” day.

The vtac 1-5 with pistols. I haven't been doing much good lately insofar as practice, live or dry, so it took 9 tries but i finally got it. I got this silly obsession for no good reason and kept doing "just one more"
