Confirmed zero with the new to me LG-405 ( hat tip to @Hideeho ) and Winchester 130gr FMJ FP Q4171. Fortunately this load prints to the same POI as GDHP 125gr +P

Ran a parallel zero, confirmed at 7 and 10 yards switching between irons and laser. Can't distinguish much difference between the two sighting methods and distances.

Ran it out to 25 yards and shot 2 each with irons, then laser. I decided to stop while I was ahead.

This is what I shot the Sunday before last:

I put an RMR 06 on my G20.5 MOS - mostly because I had the optic and an FCD Glock MOS plate.

This was the first shot at 10 yards.

At that point I should have quit for the day.

Did a rough zero on my old school Armalite AR-10B.

Hard to see but the base we were shooting at has old tanks down range. Probably from before the surface danger zone got reduced to frangible 5.56 only.

Today I shot my 4 inch 617 after tuning the action a bit. I polished the hammer, trigger and rebound slide as well as replacing the OEM rebound spring with an 11 pound replacement. Trigger pull dropped from over 12 pounds DA measured with my Lyman Digital Scale to just over 8 pounds. That's a vast difference and I really like it.

Next I shot my inch 617 with the RevUp Action Hammer Kit installed. The kit gives a very smooth DA pull and is set to just over 10 pounds that that I can shoot CCI Mini Mags and Clean's. I had no trouble shooting both with 100% ignition. The DA pull feels as good as the 8 pound pull on my 4 inch gun.

I also used my DS-10 speed loaders during the test so that I could load from my boxes. It made life much easier and I was able to get a lot more shooting in.

My biggest challenge with both guns was setting the sights. I started close, 10 yards and shot enough to produce a small hole in the center of the target. I then moved back to 25 yards and firing at that hole I shot 3 shot groups and change the sights until I was dead on at 25 yards. Neither gun took more than a few strings to get centered.

I am finally winning the battle with this 243 and the 105 Amax. Now if the guy behind the trigger could stop pulling a shot low

Neck tension made a huge difference. My RCBS die is putting on way too much tension so I used a bushing die and stepped it up .001"

Ruger LCP II 22. 10/10 on a 15" steel target at 45 yards with Mini Mags. I had to put a Galloway spring kit in this to get reliability. Seems to be OK now. It won't replace my S&W 43c for daily carry.

Started out pretty decent, but either due to the cold or not having practiced much in 3 weeks my grip was crap and I spent most of the day shooting to the left and seeing my front sight bounce like crazy
Still it was better than staying home and the squad was worth spending the day with.
