Thanks. It was probably the most difficult revolver to shoot that I can remember. The trigger was so heavy and so narrow that it was easy to jerk the sights out of alignment. Shooting a S&W, Colt or Ruger is almost effortless in comparison. With the vented rib, I can only it was what the gun would be if Hi-Point tried to copy a Python.

I can't think of anybody I dislike enough to suggest the Windicator as a possible purchase. Whoever designed that gun should have to test-fire every one coming off the production line.

If we have to march off into the next world, let us walk there on the bodies of our enemies.

Yup, I rented a .45 ACP Hi-Point once, just to try it.

I washed my hands afterwards, and not just to remove the lead dust.

It’s fun to occasionally shoot something new.

(But I’ll not try the Taurus Curve or View. I’m not that nuts.)

I agree, and it is not just fun; I have learned a lot just by trying guns other people customized, especially Glock and 1911-pattern guns. It is just not possible to build and/or buy every possible feature or part choice, and how the gun feels is irrelevant. But a magazine or two of range time can be very useful; it, at the very least, eliminates the "not for me" features. One day I rented 1911-pattern guns with 20 lpi, 25 lpi, and 30 lpi checkering to see which worked best for me. I found 30 lpi checkering to be no better than STIppling and that 20 lpi works well for me.

Free time is minimal right now, so I went and put 300 rounds through the 6933 LARP machine in the pouring rain.

    New Colt lower from Brownell's.
    6933 upper.
Surefire 6PX Defender on a set of skinny CAR handguards that I attached a piece of 1913 rail to with screws and epoxy years ago to mount a light on another gun.
    Magpul MBUS rear sight.
    BCM Mod 3 grip.
    SBA3 brace.
    Primary Arms advanced micro dot.
