Shot the 320 with some young staffers from my LGS who want to get serious about training.

Shot the “dickens” drill on C zone steel cold at 40ish yards - accuracy was good 10/10, but time could be better, particularly time to first shot. Need to shoot Chuck Pressburg’s No fail drill more.

Shot a drill called “time crisis” on steel at 8 yards. 3 second par time - start with 3 rounds in 3 seconds. If you shoot it clean you add 1 round / sane par time. If you miss or don’t make time you reshoot till you do before moving on. So 3 rounds/ 3 seconds, then 4 rounds / 3 seconds, then 5 rounds / 3 seconds etc. 2 reshoots at 6, made 9. One of the LGS guys made 8 which is pretty good for some one mostly self taught off YT.

Ran some Blake drills (transitions) and finished with some 1 shot draws to the C steel at 8. Trying to move my “home” time to 1 second or less from the duty ALS. Got a few 1.02 and 1.03 finally got a .99 and decided to quit in a high note..

And IIRC it was a big influence on the rear sight used on the Springfield ‘03. An excellent target sight but not so great in the jungle…

Excellent point, the old thing about military armament being based on the last war. Fighting Indians or harvesting buffalo across wide treeless expanses of the plains, or the SW deserts....that is the sight we need on our rifles now...

Shot this beauty at 30+ yards on a 10 inch steel plate after the local bowling pin match. I hit that plate with every round! I'm developing a good load for it and I tried 5.0, 5.2, and 5.4 gr of Winchester 231 under 185 gr XTP bullets. With this batch I wanted to see if it would run, which it did. Really soft shooting and FUN. It had me grinning from ear to ear. The 5.2 load felt the best, so next I'll try 5.1, 5.2, and 5.3 to see which load is most accurate out of this pistol.

I took 3rd place with the semi-auto center-fire pistol using my pretty much stock iron sights FrankenGlock G34 with the RTF2 frame. I was quite pleased with that as I was shooting against 2011s and 1911s with red dots.

Shot this 1-3/4 group at 300 benched and bagged.

    I really like this combo

Out of curiosity, I tried a few pistols at 40 yards. First up was the S&W 380 Bodyguard I had in my pocket. I hit four out of five.

Next was one of my spare 2.0 Compact 9mms, the one I carry working at the courthouse was holstered IWB. The spare doesn’t have as many rounds through it yet but will end up being a training gun.

Next was a Shield Plus. I like the sights on this one orange tritium factory front) but I had to aim at the sticker to get on the cardboard.

Wanted to compare the Parker Mountain Machine dual port JTTC Ultra to my Southwest Precision comp today. Used factory springs in both uppers and Wolf 115gr loads. Wow, what a difference. The JTTC Ultra is quite impressive. Ran some FAST and had some sub 5 second runs with my duty gear. Then I shot the 2013 version of the Rangemaster Instructor course of fire and the Rangemaster Master Instructor course of fire. I REALLY like this comp. Very easy to see the difference in dot tracking between the 2.
