Shot the Steel Challenge Match today with my Black Mamba. Had my best match in 3 years shooting my best stages on all of the 5 we shot today. Not enough to move me up a class but it was good for my ego.

Finally got some unstructured range time to try some new guns yesterday.

I’ve been wanting to try PCC - was leaning towards a SIG MPX 16” but several of the better local PCC shooters recommended JP. Found a used Gen 1 with a hyper fire PCC trigger and carbon fiber hand guard.

Wow. This thing is like shooting a .22…

Also finally got to shoot the LTT RDO I got from @ssb. I’ve been wanting one of these since shooting @AsianJedi’s at a class back in 2020. It did not disappoint. Just waiting on holsters from JM.

Then trying the P320 with PMM Ultra Comp. It definitely prefers heavier frames such as the metal AXG frame and hotter ammo.

Took a coworker shooting on Sunday. Pardon the crappy pic, I just snapped something really quick. You can see my LTT with trigger job and NP3 in it tho, which is what I shot most of the day.

The important part of the day, for me, was finding someone to share the hobby with. The guy that came along owned guns, liked shooting, but he’d never worked around a timer or done any skill assessments or skill building beyond just putting up a target and shooting at it some.

He took to it well, didn’t get discouraged when things were rough, and I did my best to give him a challenge without making it seem impossible. We had a good trip and he wants to tag along again. I liked that he followed safety rules and I never ended up staring at the muzzle of a gun the entire trip.

Nice shooting! My question is: do you take a toboggan with you when you shoot in 20 degree weather? It would make it easier for the folks who find you frozen to death to drag you to the road! 😁

Not sure anyone would find me. Last winter there weren't any tracks but mine out here. Except for the deer and moose.
