Feels good to use 25 round mags and collapsible/folding stocks, coming from AWB land. Freedom !!!
I have this setup where I can shoot off my back porch. All steel. A/C IPSC at 15 yards, 15" square at 25 yards and 15" square at 50 yards.
Rainy day today. I shot a S&W 43c, Taurus 856, Ruger LCR 9mm and a couple of autoloaders. I was getting 75% hits at 50 yards with all the snubbies by covering the target with the front sight. I had recently put a green XS standard dot on the 43c. It hits drive the dot and will serve my purposes well. I put a green HIVIZ on the LCR and it is drive the dot also.
2021 has been rather shitty for several reasons. I wanted to at least end it on a good note, so I went shooting. It was a great day to shoot too.
For starters, I used my 92XF to shoot a solid Super Test:
I shot some USPSA type stuff with my CZ SP01 Competition. I traded a couple of safe queens for the CZ as a tribute/memorial to a great friend and shooting buddy that sadly passed away back in October. He had a vanilla SP01 he really liked. I think I’ll keep my SP01 Comp around:
Finally, I did some defensive oriented drills with a G26.5:
I believe the G26.5 is a keeper. I can shoot it better than any of the slim line 9s I’ve tried and I expect concealment in the summer time to be better than anything I own except for my snubs. I’ve been wanting to find a better hot weather/light clothing gun for a while and believe this is it.
All in all I had a great day and hope it bodes well for 2022. I could use a better year, lol.
Took the S&W .45's out today (and an APX Centurion)...
Did a little over an hour at the indoor range yesterday. This was an experiment that I think I’m going to like. LTT RDO slide from a 92 Compact on a 96G Elite II frame. These were the last 35 shots with it, all DA offhand at 10 yards. The highest shot was my first one, almost all of the low ones were after the jack wagon next to me broke out his Garand for some 7yd shooting and then the asshat next to him went to town with an AK pistol. I finally quit and just waited for them to move along before finishing my shooting.

Previously I’ve only shot my long guns when the weather was nice. I realized that has been a mistake bc when I go to a match I get destroyed with my wind calls. So I plan to practice more when the weather is absolute crap out. Today was that kind of day. Winds weren’t too bad, but definitely variable. For the most part dialed half a mil for wind then held left or right depending on what the wind was doing.
Spent most of my time working on positional shooting, practicing getting into and out of position on the step ladder.
Zeroed the new SP9A3 roller delayed.
This is 2 shots at 25 yards and 3 at 50 yards from the bench, using Fiocchi 158 gr.
Taking a break from social media.
