Three rounds of Wobble Trap and one round of traditional trap with a 20g CZ Bobwhite SxS. I thought I might sell this gun, but I just forgot how much I liked it.

    Today I got to shoot:

P-08 Luger, 1918 mfg. date (heavy trigger)
M1911, (same year as the Luger, sights were terrible.)
    8-3/8" S&W Model 14 (I could hit end-on bowling pins with it.)
    AK pistol in .223
Uzi with .22 conversion kit and a suppressor. (This was a frigging gas to shoot.)
An ugly 9mm SMG with a retractable buttstock that was sized for midgets.
    AR-18
    FAL
    G3
    PSL
Single-shot Barrett .50. I'm not sure what this puppy was; the bolt was in the buttstock. When one opened the bolt, the buttpad and a shellholder for the cartridge came out. It was heavy, had an impressive muzzle blast, but shot from a makeshift rest, it wasn't too hateful.

It was a really good day!

If we have to march off into the next world, let us walk there on the bodies of our enemies.

I love this pistol. Light, accurate, and reliable. I got the MRO zeroed in and I’m happy to say I see a perfect dot instead of the starburst I saw through the Vortex Sparc.

    Pin match

Won the center fire open class with a record of 8-0

    USP9C

4 shooters in the final shoot off.

First bracket had 5 pins set at 10 yards and a 108mm clay set at 17 yards for the final target

Won that pairing, putting me in the running for a 2nd or 1st place win.

Final pairing was also 5 pins, but now set at 17 yards with a 108mm clay. Won with a time of 5.06

Walked away with 500 rounds and the league win.

    Pretty stoked.

Beat out tuned Checkmates and Cz Customs with my carry gun.

First day on the range in about two months, decided to shoot some "half" Tests: 5 rounds, 10 yards, 5 seconds.

HK45 LEM, first time out with an LEM trigger and I love it. I need to send my USP Elite 45 to H&K for a LEM trigger now.

This was my seventh run of the morning, 3.83 seconds from low ready, 230gr FMJ Federal:

H&K USP Expert 9mm, this is a DA/SA gun and you can see where I dropped the DA shot on my third (and best) run; 4.13 seconds from low ready, 115gr Blazer brass. I should have dry-fired a bit after switching to this gun when I was done with the HK45 LEM.

I need to get to the range more!

Matches yesterday and today. Idpa match yesterday with the body double of my carry gun (mod 5 px4cc). I dropped 17 seconds on my 5 x 5 classifier score over what I did just shy of 2 months ago. So, work and practice are paying off some and that’s gratifying.

My first speed steel match today, with the Elite LTT. Had fun and will begin doing these regularly as well. I think I’ll see benefits on steel in USPSA and idpa matches.

It was a long, aggravating winter, followed by a lot of windy, rainy, "spring" days.
Today it was warm with no bugs at the range. On the way there lots of apple trees in
bloom. I saw a deer, sort of scruffy looking still, eating alongside a wet spot full
of yellow cowslip flowers next to the highway. Heard, but did not see, a large flock of geese.
Kept an eye out for sandhill cranes but didn't see any.

At the range I shot an AR carbine, a Remington 1100 slug gun, a pin gun made on
a PARA P14 and a 657 snubnose (three inch). Got the Ar sighted-in with 55 grain
South African PMP .223 ammo. Had an abrupt reintroduction to 12 slug recoil, (ow!) and
ammo problems with the handguns, but still had a good trip to the range.
