6x47L has been, by far, my most temperamental and finicky caliber. This load finally works in this barrel. I think this is the 4th 6x47L barrel I’ve had made on 3 different actions. I don’t want to change a thing at this point.
My current calibers run the range, and I have settled on them for a variety of reasons.
Varmint and fun calibers:
20 Vartarg
223 Ackley Improved
6mmBR
Competition:
22-250 Ackley Improved
6mmBRA
6x47L
Hunting and Competition:
243 Ackley Improved
6.5 Creedmoor (Manbun)
308 Winchester
284 Winchester
Inherited rifles/calibers
270 Winchester
280 Remington
300 Winchester Mag
375 H&H
Some I don’t shoot, but I stay busy with the others. And the pistol calibers, and the shotgun.

I have never tried H4350 but used RL17 in my 6x47 and switched to RL16 when it came out with CCI 450s.
It has been a few years since I shot a match but last time I did, I zeroed at my range then took the rifle to the match.
The day before the match we had some time so I checked zero again and shot a .28" 3-shot group right where I was aiming. Temperature was 22 degrees warmer.

I ran some in service training and qualification for some court staff this afternoon. I shot the OPOTA 25 round qualification course with the M&P9 2.0C I’ve been carrying as a part time bailiff. I also shot the course with my Shield Plus and the above target is the same course fired with the S&W M&P 380 Bodyguard I frequently carry as a backup.
I picked up some new accessories for the VP9 and took them for a spin on the plate rack

Shot this on Friday. The range I was shooting at is a slow fire, no holster range so I tested out the 38 Short Colt idea that Lost River talked about. I loaded the cases with a mild 9mm load and it was a very soft shooting load and fairly accurate. The group above was 50 round group at 7 yards.
Went shooting with a buddy who is moving from collector of oddball historical guns to (at least partially) practical defensive shooter. I’ve been shooting SIGs for work the past year or so but brought out my Glocks today as my buddy was shooting his new G19 Gen5.
Suffice to say having to pay attention to grip and trigger paid off for me.
